Some research shows that even though the natural hormone does not appear to be as powerful as natural testosterone, women who take testosterone have increased sexual satisfaction and better quality of life in ways comparable to those who don’t use any type of testosterone (8). For this reason, many physicians prescribe low dose (50-300 mg) testosterone.
For some women though, when they stop using testosterone it can be quite difficult to get back on line since it does not return to normal levels.
